Alvin was, of course, the leader of the Chipmunks (in his own mind, anyway) and along with his brothers Simon and Theodore, starred in the popular Saturday morning cartoon during the 1980's. The fictional trio has been around for a lot longer, but the cartoon versions of that era are some of the better-known representations. This phone is still in its original packaging, as seen in the images below. It has only been removed from the outer box long enough to take the pictures, and has not been removed from its original plastic wrapping. The colors are as vivid as the day it was manufactured, and the phone is accompanied by its instruction manual. It stands approximately 18" tall. The handset is located on Alvin's belly, where the A is printed on his T-shirt. No electrical outlet is required; all you need is an open phone jack. The only damage to this item is on the outer box itself, and consists of standard wear and tear; wrinkled edges, scuffed finish, and a couple of exposed areas where the white layer below the color show through. The cardboard itself is intact, and has no holes or tears through to the inner contents, which have remained pristine (even the paper instruction manual is in fantastic condition!)
